ELIGIBILITY
To qualify for financial support from the Student Emergency Fund, you must meet the following criteria:
You are currently enrolled at least part-time as an in-person undergraduate or graduate student at Longy’s Cambridge campus.
You are experiencing financial distress due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to an unexpected loss of employment or medical emergency.
REQUEST PROCESS
Students may apply for emergency funds no more than 2 times per academic year. After submitting a request, students can expect to hear from Longy within 1-2 business days. Please note that Longy may request additional information and supporting documents to verify your request.
ARE THERE SITUATIONS THE FUND WON’T COVER?
Emergency funds will not be granted to students with unused personal savings, or in instances when external financial aid resources are available. Students are also encouraged to look into help outside Longy, such as SNAP. Additionally, emergency funds cannot be used to address financial hardships which are the result of personal financial mismanagement. APPLICATION
