Masterclass Information
Mindfulness & the Voice
Interactive Masterclass (Zoom)
7 pm Thursday, October 15, 2020
David Small,
baritone
Have you ever battled with stage fright, negative self-talk, or imposter syndrome? The fight-or-flight instincts that may have protected us in the past are simply not helpful when you’re auditioning for an opera company or playing a senior recital. There is an antidote to this performer’s kryptonite: mindfulness. Make the times you are “in the moment” and “one with the music”—your peak performance—your default experience.
Participation
This masterclass is open to all prospective students. We are seeking
vocalists
who wish to perform, as well as active participants/observers from all instruments and genres.
